Question about upcoming chapters
Is this going to be a big game like prophecies?
Is there going to be a lot of new stuff? Did they make them game, where you dont need prophecies because they want it to be $49.99, instead of $39.99. If there going to make a new chapter every 6 months why they gotta make it $49.99? Because dynasty warriors is 49.99, and its expansions are 39.99. |

Is this going to be a big game like prophecies?
- No one knows :\ Is there going to be a lot of new stuff? - No one knows :\ Did they make them game, where you dont need prophecies because they want it to be $49.99, instead of $39.99. - Thats the popular opinion, that they give almost expansion quality and quantity, but since you don't NEED the first game to play it (you actually DO, to be competitive though) they can sell it full price. This is opinion though. If there going to make a new chapter every 6 months why they gotta make it $49.99? - Because they can?? 50bucks every 6 months is still statistically the cheapest multiplayer game of this quality online. Because dynasty warriors is 49.99, and its expansions are 39.99. - It's "expansions" are just a stripped version of the game with a "Legends" or "Extreme Legends" mode added...While an MMO expansion or standalone or whatever you want to call it has new lands, new monsters, new everything. |

Does anyone know if Tribunal and Bloodmoon costed $39.99 when it 1st came out? I remember buying it, and if I recall correctely it was $39.99, they have new lands and mobs too, have to have morrowind though.
I just think ANET doesnt put enough efforts into making there 6 month expansions. |

Game Cost $49.99 * 2 (fractions and prophecies) = $100 (rounded up) 644hrs played = 26 days 19hrs = 3 weeks 5 days = $ 0.15 /per game hour or $ 3.72 per game day or $ 26.10 per game week however since I played over 11 months (1 Mth=4wks=30 days for ease) = $ 9.09 /per month or $ 2.27 / per week or $ 0.075 / per day or $ 0.0031 /per hour And I still have not finished either. So by my book its value for money. (Really I bought in ?? GB but thought $ would be move universal) ps Gets cheaper / better value the more I play |

1. Is this going to be a big game like prophecies?
2. Is there going to be a lot of new stuff? 3. Did they make them game, where you dont need prophecies because they want it to be $49.99, instead of $39.99. 4. If there going to make a new chapter every 6 months why they gotta make it $49.99? 5. Because dynasty warriors is 49.99, and its expansions are 39.99. 1. Probably. 2. Yes. 3. I don't believe so, however this is just a matter of opinion. 4. Because each chapter has a whole games-worth of new content in it, also, they aren't expansions... well... they kinda are... they're kinda like dishes at a restaurant, you can mix and match them, you don't need to eat one to eat the others kinda thing. 5. This isn't Dynasty Warriors. |

but I personally think ANET makes there expansions core games (where it doesnt require 1st game) because they want additional $10, what do you guys think? I think expansions should be worth $39.99, everquest is big MMORPG and they sell expansions they bring out (think its like every 9 months, they got a 12th expansion coming out I think lol) and they sell em for $39.99. But I guess, ok fine, as long as they dont add $49.99 for 3 months of gameplay. I think its funny how Diablo II expansion costed $49.99, only had 1 new act and bunch of new weapons. I think since ANET is BLIZZARD, and POPULAR, they make expansions $49.99, cuz people will buy lol. |

ArenaNet was only formed by a few former Blizzard staff. That doesn't mean they're the few that made the Warcraft games apparently great (I never played a Blizzard game. Really).
ANet are NOT, I repeat, NOT Blizzard. To put things just that little bit simpler for you, look at City of Heroes and City of Villains. BOTH are the same price, BOTH can be played on their own or attached to the same account. BOTH are separate games in their own right, just like Prophecies and Factions Last edited by The Pointless; Jul 13, 2006 at 05:58 PM // 17:58.. |

For example, *Prophecies comes out* *Joe Smoe sees it, and has never played GW before* Joe Smoe: "Ahhh. That looks dumb and boring. I don't want it." *Factions comes out* *Joe Smoe sees it* Joe Smoe: "Hmmm, looks interesting, and I don't need prophecies. Cool! I thnk I'll buy it." *Joe Smoe buys Factions* *Joe Smoe ends up really liking GW so he changes his mind about prophecies being "dumb and boring" and buys prophecies. Then when new GW's comes out he buys all of those too.* Now if you needed prophecies because it was a "core" game and all the other guild wars were expansion packs. *Prophecies comes out* *Joe Smoe sees it, and has never played GW before* Joe Smoe: "Ahhh. That looks dumb and boring. I don't want it." *Factions comes out* *Joe Smoe sees it* Joe Smoe: "Hmmm, looks interesting. Oh, but it's an expansion pack, and I need the "core" game prophecies, which looks dumb and boring. I don't think I will ever buy Factions, because I would need to waste money on prophecies to play it. Doesn't seem worth it to me." *Joe Smoe never buys Factions just because of this and never looks into buying other GW games for the same reason.* *Arena Net loses a potential customer* At least that is my view of why they do this. Woah. Thats wierd. I just relized I quoted that and I don't remeber why I did so. O_o lol Oh well. |

2.New mobs, quests, locations, a few things people have wanted for some time 3.Of course! Their portion of that extra $10 will add up to alot over all the buyers. 4.This will be a STANDALONE game, NOT AN EXPANSION. You wont need Prophecies to play Ch3, its a game by itself. Quote:
